Amazon Employee Earns ₹3 Crore Doing ‘Nothing’: Viral Confession Reveals Workaround

A senior Amazon employee has made waves with a viral confession on the anonymous forum Blind, revealing how he has earned $370,000 (approximately ₹3 crore) while doing minimal work. The employee, who joined Amazon 18 months ago after being laid off from Google, admitted he intended to do “nothing” until placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Despite his lack of significant contributions, no one has yet noticed his minimal output.

The employee, serving as a Senior Technical Program Manager, described his daily routine as largely unproductive, with most of his time spent attending meetings and deflecting work to other teams. He confessed to resolving just seven tickets and creating an automated dashboard—built in three days using ChatGPT—though he falsely claimed it took three months.

In his post, the Amazon worker expressed concern over how long his luck would last, as his situation remains undiscovered. He described his job as an exercise in exploiting the system to get paid for doing nothing. The post has sparked varied reactions on social media, with some criticizing the employee for undermining the value of honest work, while others see his strategy as a clever way to navigate a flawed system.
